Volkswagen - basic company info and current lineup
Volkswagen is Europe's largest, and world's third largest car maker (after Toyota and GM).
VW life started in Hitler era, when he asked Porsche to create a people's car, aka VW Beetle. Beetle became an all time classic, urban icon of the 20th century.
VW created few more legends, biggest of which surely is VW Golf (known as Rabbit in US), which is surely world's best hatchback model ever, Polo and Passat.
It has a somewhat joint history with Audi - both brands influenced the other in more than one way, and over the years.
Even nowadays, most Audi cars are using VW engines.
